Quick post: a new firmware (OS 2008 version 1.2007.42-19) upgrade has been released today, it should address some stability problems. Could it be a prelude to N810 long awaited release? We will see.

Chi mi conosce sa quanto ami circondarmi di gadget tecnologici assortiti. Tra gli ultimi acquisti un lettore MP3, non e` rilevante sapere marca e modello. La cosa veramente considerevole e` la possibilita` di installare sul lettore un firmware alternativo (Rockbox) a mio parere di almeno un ordine di grandezza superiore a quello di serie (estrema configurabilita`, supporto per un maggior numero di formati audio e video, migliore gestione dell’archivio delle canzoni, ecc.). Lo stesso discorso vale per il firmware (OpenWRT) che ora da’ vita ai miei access point e per il sistema operativo su un palmare (Maemo).
